1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ReptiDex ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use ReptiDex. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Account Registration

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Subscription Plans

4.1 Free Tier

• Up to 10 animals
• 100 weight records per year
• Up to 5 breeding pairs
• 1 GB photo storage
• Single user access

4.2 Pro Tier ($4.99/month or $49.99/year)

• Unlimited animals and records
• 10 GB photo storage
• Up to 3 users per collection
• Data export features
• Priority support

4.3 Premium Tier ($9.99/month or $99.99/year)

• Everything in Pro
• Unlimited photo storage
• Unlimited collaborators
• Advanced analytics
• Custom branding
• Early access to new features

5. Billing and Payments

Subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. All billing is handled by these platforms according to their terms.

5.1 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in your device's account settings.

5.2 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days notice. Price changes will not affect current subscribers until their next renewal period.

6. Refund Policy

Refunds may be available within 30 days of purchase for:

• Accidental purchase
• Technical issues preventing use of the service
• Dissatisfaction with the service

No refunds for:

• Partial billing periods
• Purchases made more than 30 days ago
• Subscription cancellations (service continues until end of period)

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Violate any laws regarding animal welfare or endangered species
• Upload malicious content or code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Share your account credentials with others
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

8. User Content

You retain ownership of all photos, data, and content you upload to ReptiDex ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant ReptiDex a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

This license terminates when you delete your content or account. You are solely responsible for your User Content and must ensure you have all necessary rights to upload it.

While we implement reasonable backup procedures, ReptiDex is not liable for data loss due to system failures, user error, or other causes. Users should maintain their own records of critical data.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REPTIDEX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

12. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination:

• Your access to the Service will cease immediately
• All data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
• Active subscriptions will continue until the end of the billing period

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of ReptiDex after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
